The informal atmosphere of the Café Sunlight is the perfect setting for volunteers from all walks if life and of all abilities.

Many of our team get involved simply to help out and experience the hustle and bustle of a lively café. Others make use of free training and have gone on to pursue careers in catering and community work.

All expenses are re-imbursed and as a volunteer you can enjoy all manner of free taste sensations from our menu. Furthermore, while you are here you can access any number of activities…tai chi? Art classes? How about African drum workshops? As a volunteer you get more than just a free sarnie.

Many of our staff started out a volunteers. As we expand we create opportunities for many applicants who unjustifiably have experienced difficulty finding work with other employers as a result of prejudicial judgements on their background.
