Eligibility Criteria for Outreach Training
Practitioners engaged in outreach activities and service based in, or linked to, children's centre's whose role involves:
Providing early intervention and family support (either group based or one-to one), to mothers, fathers and carers in the home, Children’s Centre or non- Children’s Centre based venue, to improve outcomes for children over a sustained period of time.
Providing early intervention and family support (either group based or one-to one), to mothers, fathers and carers in the home, Children’s Centre or non- Children’s Centre based venue, to improve outcomes for children over a sustained period of time.
Developing networks and partnerships with other services/ organisations – working jointly with other agencies services including third sector agencies.
Working with families in the context of their community and promoting community cohesion.
The course is particularly suitable for practitioners who:
Do not have a level three or above qualification in Work with Parents (WWP)
Hold a level three qualification or above in another occupational area
Have not covered the course content on other training courses (although if they have covered the content previously but not gained a qualification they may still wish to, and would be eligible to, gain this level three qualification).
