Does this training lead to a qualification?
This training covers the theory Work of Parents Unit 301 (Build and Maintain Relationships with Parents). Therefore learners will gain 6 credits towards their Work with Parents Qualification (12 credits required for an Award, 30 credits for a Certificate).
How long is the course?
The course involves about 5 hours Pre-course preparation and five 6-hour days teaching. After the course Parentis will provide further day to support those seeking accreditations. The Post-course Portfolio preparation will take approximately 25hours of home study.
Who will deliver the training course?
Parentis, a Sunlight Social Enterprises service with several years experience of delivering support to parents and accredited training to practitioners, has been commissioned by CWDC to deliver the training course.
Will the course fit in with Outreach Workers' availability?
Each course will be planned, so that days and times are convenient for Children’s Centre staffs. Parentis staffs will meet with Local Authorities to plan course structure , so as to meet Centre managers’ and Outreach Workers’ availability.
