Courses for Parents
Parentis recognizes that everyone needs a helping hand now and then.
From a child’s birth to growing up and leaving home, parents and carers face new challenges on a daily basis. All parents, carers and grandparents are welcome – whether you’re really struggling and at the end of your tether, or would just like to pick up some new tips and ideas about how to be an even better parent, our courses are suitable for everyone.
The courses offered are designed to help parents overcome some of the obstacles faced every day. Parents can access a course to help them with the early stages of their child’s development, whether the need is around settling a crying baby with colic or coping with toddler tantrums.
Groups meet for around 2 hours on a weekly basis and sessions are fun, friendly and relaxed with time for refreshments and exchanging ideas. New topics and issues are introduced and discussed each week so that parents are able to absorb and deal with one new idea at a time.
Attending a group for the first time can be a big thing – it’s quite normal to feel a bit nervous or scared. We recognize that taking that first step takes a lot of courage, but parents often tell us afterwards they wondered what they were worried about. Do have a look at some of the things that parents and carers have said about our courses by clicking here.
You can rest assured that a warm welcome and lots of support await you on arrival and throughout the course duration.
