Toddler and Tantrum toolkit

Toddler and Tantrum toolkit – understanding your 1 to 5 year-old

This course is aimed at helping you see things from your child’s point of view. It’s for parents of children aged between one and five and offers practical parenting solutions to the everyday challenges and needs of a pre-school child.

You will explore new ways of encouraging your child and how to communicate effectively about your child's behaviour. The course covers many common issues for parents of pre-school children, such as tantrums, boundary setting, discipline, consistency and listening skills.

You will also learn more about the value of play and quality time with your child and how to use this to encourage, build self-esteem and support your child’s learning and development. You will also explore and engage in some fun ‘messy’ play yourself with paint, glue, gloop and all sorts of other materials!

Classes meet for ten weekly sessions and last for approximately two hours, allowing time for sharing of ideas and experiences, a short video and refreshments. A course book, pens, leaflets, and information are also provided!
