The Living Room Café

The Living Room Café has evolved. We are now called cafésunlight.

Due to the Living Room's success as a community café, the Sunlight Enterprises team have been asked to provide catering for 3 healthy living centres in Rainham, Lordswood and Rochester and the Medway Council central offices at Gun Wharf.

cafésunlight is about good food that doesn’t cost the earth. Across our cafe network and throughout our business we give people a chance to train and learn with us; people that might otherwise find it hard to get skills and jobs. We use Fairtrade products, support the organic revolution and buy local food whenever we can. As a social enterprise, we’re committed to positive social change and we use our profits to support community projects throughout Medway and beyond.

The same Living Room ethics and values are embodied in cafésunlight, but after a dramatic expansion, re-branding was necessary. We have learned a great deal and face exciting challenges to improve your experience at a growing number of café venues.

This site is currently being designed by a fantastic company with fresh ideas on design and communication and we are looking forward to seeing it fully operational.

All of our profits are invested into supporting community projects in Medway.

The cafés provide an interesting and nutritionally balanced menu.

As well as our standard menu, there’s something new on our specials board everyday to tantalise your tastebuds and we always welcome suggestions from our customers.

In the Sunlight, Rochester, Lordswood and Rainham branches we have computers in the café area providing low price internet access - just ask at reception.
