Last Friday we were thrilled to welcome our local MP Naushabah Khan, the Mayor and Mayoress of Medway, Cllr Marian Nestorov and his wife Liubov, and Leader of Medway Council Cllr Vince Maple to the Sunlight Centre for the official launch of the Gillingham Safe Haven! They were treated to presentations from Safe Haven Manager Megan Hannant, our Chair Adam Price and our CEO Mirelle Frost. There was then an opportunity to meet our fantastic team who are already providing vital support to community members in crisis.

The event also saw the unveiling of a fantastic new mural by our volunteer and Artist in Residence, Alice J Willow! The mural conveys how the Sunlight team help people in crisis pull back the curtain to reveal happier, sunnier times. Thanks so much Alice, we really appreciate it!
