We have been shortlisted for Health and Wellbeing Impact of the Year in this year’s UK Shed of the Year Awards! We’re looking forward to this ceremony held on International Men’s Day in the Palace of Westminster. We hope to raise profile of the amazing health benefits when men participate in our social and creative activities, and how significant wellbeing outcomes resonate beyond the sessions as part of an intricate web of community interrelations. Many thanks to all the people in Medway who have been supporting our journey and making the most of what we have to offer.

The UK Men’s Sheds Association has been important to us as a resource for information and a wide range of support, from guidance in early days setting up our scheme, to recent discounts for Axminster tools. This well conceived award ceremony may be a game changer for members of the UK Sheds Association, referrers, service providers or potential participants, when through this publicity, the value of ‘sheds’ are recognised so more lives can be saved or improved and communities supported.
